  • Please park in the designated visitor parking only.

  • Please arrive on time / pick up on time as this really helps prevent overlap on appointments. 

  • At drop off please update me with any medical or behaviour updates, even if it is something minor or seemingly insignificant. 

  • Please be patient, every groom is at least 1.5 hours long; most are 2 or 2.5 hours. 

  • Please don't bring a dog in that's had diarrhoea or been flea treated within the last 14 days due to potential further germs spread. 

  • Upon arrival, there will be hand sanitiser & wipes for you to use. 

  • Social distancing is required so I recommend you either place your do in the crate of my car, and I will then collect the dog from there or you can bring your dog inside the salon gate & hook the lead over the fence or attach the dog to the lead provided on the fence (I’ll do the revise upon collection)

Flea Treatments: All of the “spot on” flea treatments (Advocate, Frontline etc.) contain strong ingredients. If you read through the microscopic bumph in the packaging it will say something like, "don't touch your dog for 48 hours after treatment". In actual fact, the product is still at a dangerous level for intensive handling for about 2 weeks. When you get home, check with your vet to when you should reapply the treatment back on as I will have just washed away all the sebum that is required to spread it around the dog's body so you could risk a NASTY CHEMICAL BURN if you reapply too early (that's in the microscopic bumph somewhere too). 

  • Keeping to the recommended grooming schedule for you dog will help keep its coat looking great and more manageable at each groom as a shave off / coat removal would likely double fees. 

  • I recommend you book your next appointment at pick up whilst it is fresh in the mind.

  • Please let me know if your dog has a tendency to bite, or has bitten in the past so that I can be particularly aware when grooming. If I feel in necessary I may also take extra precaution and use a muzzle during the groom.

Cancellations – Please give me as much notice as is possible; I do understand circumstances can change. 

Dogs that I will not groom until I have taken a vets advice (for their own safety) 

Puppies – Until at least 14 days after their second set of vaccinations 
Bitches that are pregnant or in season 
All dogs which are undergoing/recovering from medical treatment 

Matted Dogs: In the event of any dog needing a shave down/clip down which involves a very short blade the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process, as matting cuts off the circulation to their skin, including penis & testicles where the skin is more delicate, as well as uncovering nicks, cuts or other potential problems as the pelted coat is tugging at the skin as it is being removed. This will be discussed with you if necessary on sight of the dog. 

  • No dog will be subjected to stress or discomfort and all dogs will be groomed in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006. 

Wee Wee's Please! Please ensure your dog has had an adequate chance to relieve itself before you come to the salon. 

Unfortunately anal gland expression is deemed to be a "veterinary procedure" and therefore under the Veterinary Surgeons Act we are now prevented from performing this service for you.

Feedback: If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom, please let me know before you leave, or as soon as possible so that I can alter the trim or make the appropriate notes for the next appointment. 

Finally: If you are unsure which tools and / or products to use to groom your dog with between appointments please ask, and I’ll be happy to help and advise you.

No liability will be accepted by Paws Glorious Paws when any health problem is uncovered or underlying health issue is aggravated by any part of the grooming process. I will notify you of anything I notice during grooming 

  • We may sometimes take photos of your pet enjoying their groom; these may be used for marketing purposes.
